MPEG 4 and HD

HI everybody!
There are lot of receivers in the market now. Pl somebody post info regarding,
1. I would like to buy a low cost fta receiver. if it has blind scanning better. can name the low cost brands,and rough prices?
2. can I get HD channels with them?

if you are looking for low cost fta receiver with HD then there is nothing yet in Sri Lanka.. but you can get a good blind scan receiver (not mpeg4) from any sat shop in Colombo for around Rs. 6000.00 or less.

I think what is avilable at the moment in the Sri lankan market is MPEG 2 receivers.

I think, DVB-S2 and MPEG4, This kind of Blind Scan receivers are there. but because of symbol rate issue still not success like MPEG2 receivers. but you can find ordinary MPEG4 HD DVB-S2 receivers from China Market (Ebay) for $50-$150. those are not giving result like mpeg2 blind scan receivers

Thanks for your reply. what about low cost mpeg 4 receivers without blind scan feature? Are there any particular names? and cost? What other features should i look forward to? My intention is to buy a low cost one at the moment and later upgrade with a Dreambox. I have a Korean built Trueman receiver with dual cam and ci embedded, but there seems to be a problem with power supply and coudnt fiend a person to repair it

I was looking for a MPGE -4 fta receiver and came across a Chinese model. Shenzeng DVB-S2 with pvr facility. Sample Price they say in us$ 50. Pl experts lok into this. SPLC

I use my PCI DVB-S card to get MPEG 4 streams like SUN Direct FTA chanenls but haven't got DVB-S2(as there is no access to them)
